User Roles & Permissions
VSight Remote supports role-based user management to control access and responsibilities.
1. Admin
✅ Has full access to the admin panel.
✅ Can create, edit, and delete users.
✅ Manages rooms, permissions, and recordings.
✅ Cannot be deleted, even in the admin panel.
2. Co-Admin
✅ Has the same permissions as an admin, except for deleting the admin.
✅ An unlimited number of co-admins can be created.
3. Experts
✅ Conduct sessions and provide remote support.
✅ Only experts can start a session.
4. Subscribers
✅ Receive guidance from experts but cannot start sessions.
✅ Use VSight Remote for free under the licensing model.
Creating a New User
1️⃣ Navigate to Users tab.
2️⃣ Click on "Create User".
3️⃣ Enter user-specific information, including:

Username (required for login).

Full name (displayed in sessions).

Email address (required).
4️⃣ Assign a user role (Admin, Co-Admin, Expert, or Subscriber).
5️⃣ Add labels (optional)
6️⃣ Choose "Editor Access" to enable the option to create and edit workflow.
7️⃣ Enable additional permissions, such as:
- Session recording
- Instant calls
- See other users in a session
- Create Guest Access
8️⃣ Assign Work Groups.
9️⃣ Set a password that meets security requirements.
🔟 Click "Create User" at the top to finalize user creation.
✅ Pro tip: assign a default work group for users if you wish to eliminate additional steps. This way, a user will automatically join a VSight Remote session once they open the app.
Editing and Deleting an Existing User
1️⃣ Open Users tab.
2️⃣ Click "Options" next to the user's name.
3️⃣ Select "Edit" to change settings and permissions or "Delete" to remove a user.
4️⃣ Modify settings such as:

Name, email, or role.
- Permissions (e.g., ability to record sessions).
- Generate a login QR code
5️⃣ Click "Save Changes" to apply changes.
⚠️ WARNING: Deleted users and related information cannot be recovered.
By following these steps, admins can efficiently manage users, ensuring a well-organized and secure VSight Remote environment.
